My Grandmother.... no joke, had nearly one hundred photo albums in her home. She had them laid out on tables, by bed sides, and stacked high on bookshelves. It almost seemed like everywhere you looked there was an album or a photograph that told a story...a story of her life, and of others that shared it with her. Looking through those old photographs is the most fond memory I have of her home. I remember as she aged looking through these albums with a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye while she told her stories.
I am most certain this is where my love for photography bloomed. It is so important to capture the moments in our lives who make us who we are. I think it is important to give ourselves and our generations something to hold, and cherish for a lifetime.
I have photographed weddings, families, couples, small events, my family, vacations, etc. All photographs are beautiful, but the joy I get out of photographing weddings definitely contributes to what I find myself doing most. I enjoy the chaos of wedding days, the love, the happiness of two families coming together, everyone looking their finest, and having a good time.
